Hello to all who know me as Lightning-Baron, and hello to those just stumbling across my page

At the beginning of April, I moved to the other side of the globe, from England to New Zealand to be with my partner who lives here on these beautiful islands. I've always been interested in photography but have never had the chance to explore it properly as a decent camera was out of my reach for most of my life. Until being made redundant from my old job gave me a chance to do something I never though I'd get the opportunity to do.

So I am here with a new digital SLR trying to get better at taking photo's XD

I'm far from being an expert, so I hope posting on a new account will give people the chance to critique what I do and help me get better.
I wanted to keep my photo's separate from my art, hence the new account. Stops people who like my drawings having to look at photos...and photographers having to look at my drawings XD;;

I only have one basic lens, the one that came with the camera and I know its not the best. But at the moment it will have to do as I don't have the funds to buy a good one ;___; But the next thing on my list is a tripod.
